We returned to Highbury Fields for a 6th consecutive year to support 15 primary schools from Islington and Hackney.
We brought together a community passionate about fitness, charity and education: 50 volunteers - parents, sponsors, school staff - and local PE coaches from Your PT Hub donated their time to ensure the day was fun, enjoyable and safe for all.
Thank you to the local businesses, Harvest N5, H2EAU and Waitrose who rallied behind the event by donating healthy snacks and plenty of water.
The scorching temperatures on the hottest day of the year did not dissuade the runners.
1,200 children, parents and teachers took on the running challenge.
Congratulations to all!
We were honoured to welcome New Zealand Olympic Gold medallist Grace Prendergast who came to applaud the children's efforts and inspire them to be the best they can be.
A huge thank you to all the school staff and parents who came out in force to support the event.
Through the collective effort of the local community and our headline sponsor for the last 3yrs, Islington Square, the fundraising broke all records.
The school communities alone raised £48k with children collecting sponsorship for their efforts. To complement the funds raised, each new school will receive £5k from the sponsors and returning schools match-funding up to £5k.
The funds are earmarked for a variety of projects to improve the education experience of the children from enrichment programmes, refurbishment of playgrounds and purchases of learning equipment.
This event would not have been possible without the support and sponsorship of our generous headline sponsor and partners.
