Run Islington Run brought together 22 state primary schools from across Islington and Hackney — the most we’ve ever had. From matching t-shirts to handmade signs, every school showed up with pride, passion, and incredible team spirit. It was a true celebration of community, showcasing how schools across two boroughs can unite for a common goal: to give every child the best education opportunities.

Highbury Fields came alive with over 2,400 runners, families, and supporters filling the park and creating an electric atmosphere from start to finish. From the youngest Nursery pupils to proud Year 6s leading the charge, the determination on every child’s face was matched only by the cheers from their families, teachers, and volunteers.

This year’s event raised over £130,000! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, supporters, and school communities, these vital funds will go directly to the participating schools to support playground upgrades, learning resources, after-school clubs, enrichment programmes, and more.
