We returned to the vibrant heart of King's Cross, for our second event bringing together a community passionate about fitness, charity and education. We welcomed 4 new schools: Frank Barnes, Winton, Christopher Hatton and Rosary Primaries.
A huge thank you to all the volunteer school staff and parents who came to support, run and marshal. Also, to our sports coaches, starting with our ambassador Liz Sandles, Kerry Gooden and Martin Whitelock from MW5 Fitness who organised the warm-ups and help us deliver a day of fun and fitness for all the families.
With an overwhelming turnout of 950 enthusiastic young runners, and over 1,000 people on Lewis Cubitt Square, cheering on the participants, the atmosphere was truly electric!
Congratulations to all the runners, some as young as 3yrs old, who completed the course. Whether you achieved a personal best or simply crossed the finish line with a smile, each and every one of you played a vital role in making this event a resounding success. Your dedication and enthusiasm were simply awe-inspiring.
The event was a true testament to the power of promoting physical activity among children. When they set mind to it, they can achieve anything!
The fundraising results were nothing short of inspiring: mobilisation from all the school communities raised an incredible £17k! Together with the support of our generous sponsors, Kings Cross, Google and The Standard Hotel, the event raised over £50k for the 9 participating schools.
These funds will have a profound impact, enabling the schools to provide enhanced educational resources, extracurricular activities, and a nurturing environment for their students.
Thank you to all for coming out in force to help us make a difference to the education of local children!
This event would not have been possible without the sponsorship and support of our generous partners.
