What a debut for Run Leyton Run!
A brand new event in East London
The Leyton community came together for its first fundraising fun run bringing together 5 primary schools, thanks to the support of the Leyton Orient Football Club, Leyton Orient Trust and Eastdil Secured.
More than 800 people joined us in Coronation Gardens, just outside the iconic stadium, with around 650 children crossing the finish line and earning their medals.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the energy was electric and the unparalleled enthusiasm of the children, parents, school staff and volunteers made the day unforgettable.
We were treated to some very special guests: the Leyton Orient Football Women’s players Grace Gillard and Georgia Griffin, who came along to cheer on our runners. Their support and encouragement meant so much to the children and added an extra buzz to the event.
This was community partnership at its very best. The event raised over £25,000 for local schools. A huge thank you to the Leyton Orient Football Club, Leyton Orient Trust and Eastdil Secured for their commitment to create lasting benefits for children’s education in Leyton.
